When you’re not reading charts, what are you doing?
”To pay the bills, I’m a creative and markteing consultant for a number of brands ranging from global healthcare companies to gardening. More than anyplace else, that’s been where I’ve learned the art of applied psychology, both in managing creative professionals and in manipulating audience responses. I'm also an Adjunct Professor for University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning, commonly referred to as DAAP. For pleasure, I race bicycles and I’m an accredited motorcycle instructor for the State of Ohio. I love seeing students go from absolute beginner to excited license holders.”
What part of your astrological makeup do you most relate to?
”Oh, that’s easy — my Aquarius ascendant. Although I’m an introvert, I’m a proud Susan Cain-style introvert whose openness and non-shy way of expressing my ideas can tend to make a lot of people look at me sideways. I’m often visualizing the people around me completely liberated from their game faces and their tired battle armor. If there’s any way I can help them see themselves for who they actually are or what they really want to be, I feel validated. Besides Aquarius-risers are also good at piloting multiple vehicles, and between bike racing and motorcycling I can't tell what I love most.”
Why do you enjoy astrology so much? What does it do for you?
”Astrology provides a language for the otherwise undefinable: the energy that motivates us as utterly distinct individuals, yet binds us together inseparably. I find it to be a perfect complement for the philosophy of Non-Duality, although several of my non-dualist or Advaita peers might beg to differ! When most clients come to me, they have a fairly predetermined expectation for the experience of a reading. The best readings for me are those that expand a client’s understanding of the myriad, interconnected forces continually at play in their life. Blown minds are opened minds.”
